AmaZulu returned home to an amazing reception in South Africa after they booked their place in the Caf Champions League group stages over the weekend.
Benni McCarthy’s men reached the group stages of the continental competition for the first time after going through on the away goal rule following their 1-1 draw against TP Mazembe on Saturday.
Bonginkosi Ntuli first-half strike broke the deadlock for Usuthu before a late goal by Mazembe’s Adam Bossu levelled matters at Stade du TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi, DR Congo.
The result saw Usuthu make history by qualifying for the group stages for the first time in the club’s history after progressing on the away goal rule after the first leg ended goalless.
