The football governing body in South Africa held its elective congress at the Sandton Convention Centre on Saturday, where the 70-year-old beat out competition from Ria Ledwaba and Solly Mohlabeng to secure a unanimous victory.

Breaking News: Dr Danny Jordaan retained his seat as South African Football Association (SAFA) President when he won by overwhelming majority at the Elective Congress on Saturday.

Safa confirmed that Jordaan received 186 votes, with Ria Ledwaba coming in second with 27 votes while Solly Mohlabeng finished third with eight votes.
The veteran football administrator, who was first elected as president in 2013, will now be entering his third term as the head of the association.
