According to Kicker , Bayer Leverkusen are set to rely on Wirtz skills next season. Wirtz joined Bayer Leverkusen in January 2020 and has since rose to as a regular starter for Leverkusen, making his Bundesliga debut at 17 years old.
The 20 year old played a crucial part in Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title clinch under Xabi Alonso last season and has been praised for his incredible technicall skills, composure and creativity on the ball.
His ability to pick out passes and tactical intelligence has earned him comparisons to some of the game’s greatest playmakers. Thus far, the 20 year old has scored six goals, providing five assists in 14 appearances.
