‘Going to training today, it was different, even though I use the same route that I take everyday. When I got there I didn’t know whether to laugh, smile or to cry. I always wanted to be a professional footballer, it was the only place where I’m happy and when I started going up and getting recognized, I wanted to be Doctor Khumalo of this era. I knew that one day this day will come and I can say, proudly so, that I have achieved everything that I wanted to achieve as a footballer to hope that in a couple of years from now and someone will be sitting right here and is able to say that they got inspired by my career path,” Modise said on Cape Town City’s official Twitter account.
Teko Modise will play his last game on Saturday as he bids farewell to the game. CTCFC would like to thank him for everything he has given to the club and South African football.
