Caf president Ahmad Ahmad was reportedly apprehended by police in Paris on Thursday after allegations of corruption.
According to Jeune Afrique, Ahmad was picked up at 8:30am on Thursday morning at his hotel while in Paris attending a Fifa congress.
The Caf president is reportedly set to appear in front of the Central Office where he will face corruption, financial and fiscal offences (OCLIF).
The alleged corruption is believed to centre around a contract which unilaterally broken by CAF with German sportswear giants Puma to engage with the company Technical Steel, based in La Seyne-sur-Mer.

While Africa’s football governing body are yet to release a statement, the news comes in a week where they have dominated the headlines for the controversial decision to replay the Caf Champions League final after the Africa Cup of Nations.
This comes after a break down in VAR saw Wydad Casablanca walk off the pitch in protest after the technology could not be consulted to overturn an incorrect decision.
The match was subsequently abandoned with the result awarded in favour of Esperance, but Caf has since requested the trophy and medals be returned ahead of the replay at a neutral ground.
