Cape Town City have confirmed that Austrian midfielder Roland Putsche is expected to begin full training with the first team within two to four weeks.
The 28-year-old has been sidelined since February after sustaining a meniscus tear during the Citizens’ Absa Premiership fixture against Highlands Park.
Putsche, along with midfield partner Thabo Nodada, picked up injuries towards the end of the 2018-19 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.
The Austrian midfielder put himself through intensive rehabilitation training in Austria during the off-season. Now his dedication to returning to full match fitness has paid off as the Citizens confirmed that he was two to four weeks away from full training.

Cape Town City will take on Baroka in their opening Absa Premiership game of the new season at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on 3 August, with kick-off set for 3pm.
