Bafana Bafana’s dreams of reaching the 2022 Fifa World Cup came to an end of they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Ghana in their final Group G qualifier at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday evening.
The Black Stars advance to the third round of qualifiers after they were awarded a controversial penalty in the first half, which Andre Ayew converted from the spot-kick.
South Africa ended up finishing Group G in second place level on 13 points with Ghana in first place with the same goal difference after six matches played in the group.
