Matsi was one of the players that moved to Cape Town when John Comitis bought Mpumalanga Black Aces’ PSL status before the start of the 2016-17 season.

He played a crucial role for City last season while playing alongside the likes of Roland Putsche and Thabo Nodada, despite missing most of the campaign through injury.

The midfielder has since made four appearances in all competitions this season, featuring in their Absa Premiership and MTN8 fixtures.
