South Africa beat Cape Verde on penalties to reach AFCON semi-finals

Bafana Bafana are through to their first AFCON semi-final since 2000.

South Africa goalkeeper Ronwen Williams produced four saves in the shoot-out as his side beat Cape Verde 2-1 on penalties to reach the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals after their last-eight tie on Saturday finished 0-0 at the end of extra time.

Bafana Bafana are through to their first AFCON semi-final since 2000 and will face Nigeria in the last four on Wednesday.
