Tottenham Hotspur came from behind twice to snatch a 2-2 draw against Italian giants Juventus in their Champions League encounter on Tuesday night.
The home side got off to the perfect start as they netted twice in the opening ten minutes, courtesy of a quick-fir brace by Gonzalo Higuain.
The Argentine could have had is hattrick in the 25th minute, but the forward guided his effort wide of the target following a swift counter-attacking move.
Harry Kane reduced the deficit in the 38th minute following a good spell of pressure by the hosts.
Defender Serge Aurier conceded a penalty on the stroke of half-time when he impeded the advancing Douglas Costa in the area, however Higuain gave Spurs a lifeline when he blasted his penalty against the crossbar with Gianluigi Buffon well-beaten.
Spurs came out more determined in the second stanza, with midfielder’s Christian Eriksen and Moussa Dembele pulling the strings in the midfield.
Eriksen levelled matters with 20 minutes left in the game with a well-executed freekick, which left Buffon no chance.
The two sides were unable to add to their respective goal tallies as Spurs secured two vital away goals heading into the return fixture at Wembley on March 7th.
