The Dutch manager has already set several records early in his time with Liverpool, and a win here could set another one, making him the first Liverpool manager to win eight of his first ten top-flight games.
The Reds narrowly won this very fixture against Brighton last season as they’ll need to stay sharp since they had only one win in their previous eight head-to-head matches (four draws, three losses).
Brighton has been a tough opponent for Liverpool lately, scoring first in each of the last four Premier League matchups (one win, two draws, one loss). Another quick start would be a big boost for Brighton’s manager, Fabian Hürzeler, as he works to improve his team’s sixth-place standing in his debut season.
Even with a strong start to the season, Brighton might feel they should have two more points, having conceded late goals to draw 2-2 with Wolves last weekend.
